About

  • I have lived a full and blessed life.
  • I see myself as a part of the incredible story God has written upon this universe.
  • I have two wonderful grown children.
  • I love and help raise two grandchildren, and I’ve home-schooled them part of the time.
  • I love stories, mine and others.
  • I have been a freelance writer and an author of 15 published novels, 1 which was made into a movie.
  • I have taught business writing seminars for corporations.
  • I have been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively in many parts of the world.
  • If I could do nothing but travel and write about the places I go, I would be ecstatic.
  • I am an avid gardener–a lover of herbs and cut flowers, of vegetables and fruits.
  • I love to play piano.
  • I am at home in the mountains.  Pure countryside draws my admiration.
  • I’m not much of a beach person, but I do love the sound of water, especially in mountain streams.
  • I have waded deep into the waters of faith.
  • I have searched for God in many different ways and in many places. I have joined the efforts of charities and foundations to which He has led me.  But I have found Him here.  In my own home.  And in my own heart.

  1. I believe that as we journey to find God in “many different ways and in many places” and “join the efforts of charities and foundations” we find it easier to recognize God has been close at hand (“I have found Him here. In my own home. And in my own heart.”) all along. Blessings!

You just described me! I’ve climbed the Great Pyramid at Giza at dawn, Mt. Batur in Bali at dawn, been inside the torch of the Statue of Liberty, toured the redlight district of Amsterdam, spent a magical evening in the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, toured the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, been inside old Japanese WW II tunnels in Micronesia, sat in the cockpit of a downed Zero fighter sitting on the bottom of the bay in Koror, Palau, swam in the Hatta Pools in the UAE, gazed across the Straits of Hormuz at Iran, shopped in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, roamed around the City of the Dead in Cairo, visited Nan Madol in Pohnpei, climbed the Leaning Tower of Pisa, visited Machu Picchu in Peru, been on a San Blas Indian island off the coast of Panama, and much more.

And I’m not through yet! I’d love to swap travel stories with you.
